With no guarantee for success, you begin to traverse the land as best you can, hoping against all odds that you make it out alive, much less in one piece.
Now, imagine if you were stranded on that same island with a map to show you the most effective, least treacherous, and downright easiest path to successfully navigate the area…
Welcome to the metaphoric, coffee-stain island of Noveldom, where I hope to help at least 1,000 people write a novel.

WHY THE NOVELDOM METHOD?
When I started writing my first novel, I did what I believe most new novelists do: I searched for tips and tricks online before diving in head first with little more than anecdotal advice.
I quickly realized how helpful it would’ve been if I had found a guided method to lead me through my journey. One which could tell me exactly what to do next, step-by-step of the way.
Not a book with another author’s advice and not a blog post with a bullet-point guide of suggestions and not another “find your unique style” quip, each of which left me feeling even less sure of myself than the last.
After completing my first novel, I vowed to eliminate all of the strife I experienced from not knowing what to do and when by developing a step-by-step guide I could use for all of my future novels.
A PROVEN METHOD
Through my own trial and error, I have learned that all nine legs of the Noveldom journey are not only beneficial, but absolutely necessary to creating a stellar novel; the method is simple, but proven to work.
As a natural simplifier, I avoided so many sections of Noveldom on the grounds that I didn’t think they’d be necessary.
“I can be a pantser,” I told myself as I dove in with little preparation. Turns out, it’s impossible to be a pantser when your novel traverses eons of life and incorporates a vast array of story arcs.
“I can meet my characters as I write,” I told myself as I ignored character development and waltzed right into the dialogue fray. Wrong again! Turns out, I needed intimate knowledge of my characters before I could craft organic and fitting dialogue.
FOR EVERY STYLE
Over the next two years (2018-2019), I’ll be testing this method for accuracy, validity and adaptability.
And I’d love for you to join me on this grand adventure!
I believe this nine-step process to writing novels (for amateurs and professionals alike) will transform how future novelists go about constructing their novels and honing their skills.
I will be using this method to explore every genre and style of writing that I possibly can to refine and strengthen each leg of the Noveldom journey.
